Villa Ouis NamKhan River View

This hostel is run by a lovely family, and the owner was simply wonderful - kind, helpful, and pleasant. The rooms were always clean, the water was hot, and breakfast was varied and filling. During my trip through Laos, I stopped in Luang Prabang several times on my way to visit different places in northern Laos, and each time I made sure to return to this hostel. It truly felt like home!

Location close to center and night market.Staff is helpfull and polite. Basic but fair breakfast.

Shower head in the bathroom wasn't in good condition.

Very nice room and helpful staff. This is third time I’ve stayed here in 3 years. It is about 30 seconds of a walk from the main street out front. Just look for the hotel sign on the Main Street. Good location for tour companies to pick you up at.

Nice location and staff!

Nothing special—it’s an old place, and all the bedding was worn out, with some pieces having tears and even blood stains. I felt uncomfortable using the pillows, as they were disgustingly dirty underneath the covers. As for breakfast, it’s individually ordered. I went on the first day, but didn’t return because the hygiene standards were poor

English is not spoken well by staff, but it’s manageable

I loved the pure wood room. Literally floor to ceiling antique wood. Gorgeous . And I had a large patio to do yoga on. The included breakfast was great and very filling. There was a nice chill patio on the second floor. Plus the place has connections to all the tours, bus rides, etc.. very convenient. The bed was super comfortable . Shower was ok. Standard SE Asian shower.

While it was only a 15 minute walk from the center of town, which was alsonice for its quietness, at times I would have liked to be in the center.

Cozy, clean and comfortable. Everything works well. Affordable.

Breakfast wasn’t delicious

The room was very big and pretty. Super clean. Breakfast was good and included in the price.

The bathroom/drainage was smelling bad. The shower and sink (water didn’t flow) didn’t work at some point. The lady tried to make us pay for breakfast even though it was included. After telling her we paid everything it was fine.

The location was excellent and I was walking distance from everything I wanted to see. It’s also in an area where tours pick up in which is a perk because they’ll come directly to the hotel.

It was a bit challenging to find the first time since it’s in an alley but fortunately my taxi driver pointed me in the right direction.

The building was old and rustic and had a lot of character and charm. The location was perfect. Not far from the Mekong River, the night market, the old "French" part of town. Simply an amazing town. I extended my stay twice at the hotel as I loved the feel of the city. Everything I needed when it came to local transportation, information, scheduling excursions was taken care by the owners. Would go back and stay there again and again and again. The included breakfast had many options and was always good.

The location is good, 7 minute walk to the night market and restaurants all around.The WiFi was good and the staff were friendly.The room was clean and at £15 a night with breakfast it is good value for your money.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable (springs) and the shower head needs replacing!

Comfortable and spacious room. Very kind staff. Very good location not far from the morning and night markets. Scooter rental was cheap and hassle-free!

There was a weird sound which was either an animal in pain or a machine that needed to be oiled all throughout the night. Also the air conditioner made really strange noises. We found it hard to sleep with all of that going on.And this isn’t the property’s fault, but on one night there was a group at the property next door drinking and being incredibly loud until quite late.

The staff were lovely, very helpful. Banana pancakes for breakfast were superb. Good on site laundry service. Hard working people doing a good job in their family business. Good location too.

Toilet system makes a lot of noise and rooms 1 and 2 are close to the area where the laundry is done so it can get noisy early in the morning (from 8am).

+ Spacious room, great location. Friendly and helpful staff. They arranged for us to have scooters and tickets and transport to a boat that would run in Metong for two days to the border of Thailand. Helped during the exchange of money and no problem, they prepared us breakfast at 6:30 by check-out. I recommend it.- None.

Not clean, room was basic, no view from the window. The toilet made a weird noise all night. It was also noisy.

Location is ok.Booked the train through reception and no issues, very straight forward.Located down a side street so no issues with noise.

It is close by to the night market, food stalls, Mekong river atthe shrines

The room that I stayed, room no 6 the air conditioning and the fan were very noisy but I was lucky, the weather at night is cold so I didn’t turn it on.
